The Tan Kah Kee Science Awards 2014 and Tan Kah Kee Young Scientist Awards 2014 have been elected by the Evaluation Committee and the Council Board. The award ceremony will be held in June, 2014, at the 17th General Assembly of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The Winners of the Tan Kah Kee Science Awards 2014:
- Enge Wang, Professor of Physics, President of Peking University, wins the Tan Kah Kee Science Award in Mathematics and Physics for his innovative work on "Microscopic structure and property of liquid and solid water in Confinement ".
- Guoqiang Lin, Professor in Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, CAS, wins the Tan Kah Kee Science Award in chemistry for his innovative work on "Method Innovation on Studies of Chiral Chemistry".
- Guoliang Xu, Principal Investigator in the Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Shanghai Institutes of Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, wins the Tan Kah Kee Science Award in Life Sciences for his innovative work on "The role and mechanism of DNA oxidation in epigenetic regulation of mammalian development".
- Guoxiong Wu, Professor in the Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP), CAS, wins the Tan Kah Kee Science Award in Earth Sciences for his innovative work on "Impacts of the dynamic and thermodynamic forcing of Tibetan-Plateau on Asian summer monsoon onset and climate formation".
- Xiaohu You, Professor in National Mobile Communications Research Laboratory at Southeast University, wins the Tan Kah Kee Science Award in Information Technological Sciences for his innovative work on "Capacity-approaching Transmission and Distributed Radio Network for Broadband Mobile Communications".
- Baogen Shen, Fengxia Hu and Jirong Sun, professors in the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), win the Tan Kah Kee Science Award in Technological Sciences, for their innovative work on "Discovery of La(Fe,Si)13-based magnetocaloric materials and study on related scientific problems".

- Binyong Sun, Professor in Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, CAS, wins the Tan Kah Kee Young Scientist Award in Mathematics and Physics for his innovative work on "Progresses on infinite dimensional representation theory of classical groups ".
- Lei Liu, Professor in Tsinghua University, wins the Tan Kah Kee Young Scientist Award in Chemistry for his innovative work on "Protein Chemical Synthesis".
- Jun Wang, Professor in BGI, wins the Tan Kah Kee Young Scientist Award in Life Science for his innovative work on "A study of "gut microbial gene catalogue" and its relationship with the type 2 diabetes".
- Xuelong Li, Professor at The Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, wins the Tan Kah Kee Young Scientist Award in Information Technological Sciences for his innovative work on "Matrix Decomposition for Big Visual Data Analysis".
- Hairong Zheng, Professor of Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, wins the Tan Kah Kee Young Scientist Award in Technological Sciences for his innovative work on "Acoustic manipulation and elastography Imaging System".
